The property backs onto the ninth hole of a golf course, which gave the garden its view and its problem at the same time: the ground fell away exactly where the family wanted to sit.
A retaining wall took the slope out and made room for an inground pool with a waterfall. Around it we laid a limestone blue ice patio, wide enough to be a stage rather than a walkway, and set a contemporary gas fire feature into it. Mexican beach pebble runs between the harder surfaces to keep the whole thing from reading as one slab.
Privacy came from planting rather than fencing. A run of arborvitae now screens the garden without closing off the fairway view. Accent lighting was placed last, so that the pool, the water and the planting all keep working once the sun has gone.

“It was a complex job that needed the expertise Peabody has from many years of experience. The team completed the project on time and on budget.”
